Yen is responsible for the development of partnerships throughout the commercial and public sectors. Previously she worked as the Professional Development Manager for the West Midlands branch of the national charity, Arts and Business and as Deputy Director at Birmingham Film & TV Festival.

Clare began working as Gallery Assistant at The Washington Gallery in South Wales. Here she developed an enthusiasm for PR which led her to pursue a career in London. She became Marketing Manager for The Bull Arts Centre, which would later be incorporated into the much bigger organisation of Artsdepot. Here she oversaw the branding, press and marketing of the transfer before taking on her role within First Light.

Simon's role is to assist Leigh in the daily running of First Light funded projects, from the administration of the assesment process, to monitoring the status of live projects. Simon is a graduate from York with a history degree, and before joining First Light gained his administrative experience through numerous office jobs. Simon's life highlight is appearing on C5's popular quiz 'Brainteaser'.

Leigh is responsible for assessing applications, monitoring projects and co-ordinating First Light’s external assessors and mentors. After university, through Central America before joining the Leicester Comedy Festival team as Community and Education Manager. She later became the Arts Officer for Melton Borough Council before moving to Birmingham. |
