If you are a young person wishing to get into filmmaking here are some hints and tips to get you started:

1. Encourage your teacher to start a filmmaking project

2. Get together with a group of friends and look through our filmmaking section for ideas.

3. Get in touch with your local cinema or arts centre to see if they hold and media workshops or film training

4. Ask your school to set up a filmmaking group

5. Check your local library for information on local youth groups or film production companies - they may be interested in working with you or have ideas about how to develop your idea
