Script

Most scripts follow the same format in the film industry. When writing you should consider three main points - structure, characterisation and dialogue. edit 293
Structure

Your script is a journey through a number of stages. Most films are based on a three ‘act’ structure - i.e. they have a beginning, middle and an end.

Characters

Try brainstorming around your characters. What kind of people are they? What motivates them? Make your characters believable to your audience.

Dialogue

Film is a visual medium, so dialogue is not always necessary to describe what is happening in a scene.

Think about the sort of audience you want to be able to show your film to. If you are making a film for younger age groups to view, then remember swearing might not be appropriate.
