First Light Funding

Pilot Award
The First Light Pilot Award enables organisations to make one short film. The intention is to encourage fruitful, collaborative partnerships between organisations that work with young people and filmmakers.
Grants of up to £5000 are available for 1 film of up to 5 minutes long to be made over a period of 4 months.
30% match funding required (15% cash minimum).

Studio Award
The Studio Award provides funding for organisations that are experienced in filmmaking with young people. The Studio Award aims to fund and inspire the making of short films, reflecting the diversity of young people's lives.
Grants of up to £36,000 are available for 6 films of up to 10 minutes long made over a period of 10 months.
50% match funding required (25% cash minimum).
