Top tips for making a film on a budget?
Tell the story. You don’t have a big budget so don’t try to make it look like a Hollywood blockbuster when you know it’s not going to look as good on the screen as it did in your head or on storyboard. Spend your resources wisely. Give time to the script, to casting, to getting a good crew. Some of the most profitable movies in history did not have mega budgets. Sure the ‘Star Wars’ series is great, I’m a real fan, but one of the most profitable films ever was ‘American Graffiti’ made by none other than… George Lucas! Spend time on logistics before you start shooting, don’t wait till you’re there. Work towards perfection nobody starts from it.
