Screenwriting Kit
First Light has produced a Screenwriting Kit containing practical classroom exercises and tips on thinking up film ideas to encourage schools to write their own film scripts.The pack aims to help schoolchildren understand Citizenship issues through film and to encourage teachers to use filmmaking in practical ways in the curriculum. First Light collaborated with the Department for Education and Skills (DfES) and Barclays to run a Film and Citizenship Competition. The deadline for competition entries has now passed, but keep an eye on firstlightmovies.com for updates on the filmmaking exploits of the five winning schools.
