Make Up and Costume

On any film you will need to think about make up and costumes. Even on a documentary you will need face powder to ensure people do not look oily on camera and to think about appropriate clothes for your presenter. edit 657
Make Up

Everyone who appears on camera will need face powder (boys too!). Don’t go for a natural make up look - to look normal on film, it will seem overdone to the naked eye, so don’t skimp on the blusher or lipstick.

Don't spend a lot of money here. Powder, concealer, blusher, masacara, lipstick, hairspray, wet wipes and tissues will probably be enough on most projects. However, do think about your character and how they would present themselves, and how this would translate into make up and hair?

Costume

The right costumes will add authenticity to your film and tell your audience about the characters. Is your character trendy, sporty or old fashioned? What kind of image would that character want to portray?

For costumes on a budget try local charity shops, or borrow items from friends and family.
