First Light has launched a new funding scheme called Filmmaking Partners.
The scheme is open by invite only, to organisations that have successfully delivered a First Light Studio Award project.

| How did Media Education do? |
Before any decisions were made, Fiona Buchan summed up the groupšs attitude: "Being here is so special. The atmosphere is brilliant. If we win, yes it would be great but I donšt mind if we donšt. It's the experience and taking part that counts."
Come the award ceremony, the heat is intense. Even the Italians complain. DGWAN are congratulated on their film by producers from across the globe and an adult jury member tells them that the voting was very close. Unfortunately, they weren't the category winners.
However, the Scottish contingent didn't leave empty-handed. With the team behind 'Skunks, Punks and Battlin' Bagpipes' in attendance, Young People Speak Out's 'The Soul Owner' picked up an award from the Children's Jury!
